This past Tuesday, we made sure that you were all covered on the whole “mocktail” side of things for NYE, so we obviously had to include some sort of dessert recipe as well… plus now you can wash down all of the below, wonderful desserts with some of our delicious “mockatils” from last week! Enjoy!

Indulgent NYE Desserts!

Okay so we still all have a couple more days left before our New Years’ resolutions kick in, so the below indulgent dessert recipes and ideas that I’m going to share with you today are still TOTALLY allowed! Not to mention, these are definitely “better for you” alternatives in comparison to your decadent, quintessential NYE delight…. we therefore don’t have to feel TOO guilty about indulging one last time before the clock strikes midnight on the 31st!

Below are a few different desserts to test out this NYE! Some are frozen, pre-made while others require a little more labour of love… but all are super delicious, extravagant options for this NYE! Not to mention, a whole lot better for you too!

1. Daiya Dairy-Free Cheesecakes

Be mindful of your guests and their potential food restrictions on NYE! These cheezecakes from Daiya are great to have on hand when you’re in a holiday hosting pinch! They’re free from all of the major food allergens and contain 0g of trans fat or cholesterol per serving!!! We carry chocolate, strawberry, vanilla and lime here at Ambrosia and BEST NEWS EVER…. 2. Eggnog Hot Cocoa

This is a great dessert drink to serve to your guests on NYE! It brings a fun, whimsical touch that is very reminiscent of your childhood! Add a little eggnog and this may very well be the absolute best thing you have ever tasted in your entire life!

Ingredients:

1.5 cups of Milk Alternative

1.5 cups of Organic Traditions Cacao Powder

4 cups of Eggnog

1 tsp of Simply Organic Vanilla Extract

8 Cinnamon Sticks

Directions:

Warm milk and cinnamon sticks on low-medium heat in a saucepan for about 5 minutes

Stir in cocao powder, eggnog and vanilla extract

Serve!

3. Sweets From The Cupcakes

These holiday cupcakes from SFTE are almost too cute to eat… almost. SFTE is a family-run company that creates the most decadent, desserts! All of which are egg free, dairy free, GMO-free and 100% plant-based and kosher! Their holiday cupcakes are absolutely darling and can be found in the fridge section!

4. Holiday Chocolates, Fudge and Candies

Stock up on any of our holiday chocolates, fudge, candies or even items from our bulk selection and create an entire candy bar at your NYE soiree!!! Fill all sorts of chic glass bowls with various natural or organic candies and nuts and have them sitting out on a table! Jazz the table up with gold embellishments – if you have a chalk menu board you can always list the items available in your DIY candy bar! Guests can come and pick and choose whatever items they’d like!

5. Chocolate Lava Cake

Okay so this one is for those of you that are a little more on the adventurous side of things! Chocolate lava cake may seem a little more than intimidating but truth be told, the process is not too bad! These are perfect if you’re having a small gathering or dinner party on NYE! They’re not overly sweet, but still chocolaty and have the most amazing gooey centre! Garnish with a little strawberry or raspberry (we need to get our fruits in obviously – hehe) and your guests will be so impressed by this Michelin star restaurant worthy dessert!!

Ingredients

2 large organic eggs
1 large organic egg yolk
5 tbl organic butter
3 tbl coconut sugar
3.5 oz. dark chocolate (Green & Black’s chocolate bars are on sale for the month of December)
3 tbl coconut flour
2 tsp cocoa powder

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 425 F
  2. Butter the inside of 4 ramekins
  3. Whisk egg yolks, eggs, and sugar in a bowl until light and foamy
  4. Melt chocolate and butter with a double boiler or in the microwave
  5. Stir the melted chocolate into the bowl with eggs and sugar. Add in cocoa powder
  6. Add flour and salt. Combine
  7. Add in vanilla extract
  8. Divide batter between the 4 ramekins; tap gently on the counter to remove any bubbles
  9. Refrigerate for 30 minutes
  10. Place ramekins in a casserole dish or pan. Pour hot tap water into the dish so that it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekin
  11. Bake for 15-18 minutes
  1. Allow to cool for 20 minutes
  2. Take a fork and loosen the edges of the ramekin, flip each cake upside down onto a plate and remove the ramekin!
  3. Serve!
