Fan of the Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts? Yes? Well good news because MH just released Hemp Heart Toppers, a brand new product that packs the nutritional punch of Hemp Hearts and HempPro Fibre combined with BOTH sweet and savoury flavour combinations!

A couple of week’s ago, Manitoba Harvest was sampling their Hemp Heart Toppers here at Ambrosia and I’ve got to say… I was a MAJOR fan! I made sure to sample each and every single flavour (as to not be biased of course 😉 ) and I really loved how versatile this product can be! From onion, garlic & rosemary to maple & cinnamon… each flavour was truly so, SO different!

 

My favourite? Had to be the Onion, Garlic, & Rosemary! But you definitely should experiment and see which one you like best!

Sprinkling these little guys onto your meals is a great and EASY way to obtain your nutrients, as they contain 10 grams of protein and 10 grams of omega-3 and omega-6 per 35g serving!  Can you say powerhouse?

 

Below are three, simple ways that you can add hemp hearts to your daily routine!

 

  1. Popcorn

When the Manitoba Harvest team was here sampling their Hemp Toppers, THIS is what they made for everyone! Popcorn topped with various flavours of hemp heart toppers! Just drizzle the popcorn with a little bit of olive oil, sprinkle with your flavour of choice and serve!

 

This will completely alter popcorn and movie night… for the better!

 

  1. Oatmeal or Cereal

I’m thinking that the Maple Cinnamon or the Coconut & Cocoa variety would be particularly delicious to top on your oatmeal or cereal in the mornings!!! I love mixing my morning oatmeal with nuts (almond or walnuts) and berries (strawberries and blueberries are my favourites!).  Perfect burst of flavour!

 

If you’re more of a smoothie kind of person, they’re the perfect way to top them off after you blend all of your ingredients!!!

 

  1. Salads

Let’s face it… salads are not always the most exciting of meals on this planet, so these little bursts of flavour will come in handy I am sure of it! Try either the Chipotle, Onion & Garlic OR Onion, Garlic & Rosemary variety! Salads just got a WHOLE lot more exciting!
