Three Healthy, Holiday-Inspired Smoothie Recipes!

So whether you’re looking for an extra boost of energy to help you battle the malls, tackle your ever-growing “Holiday To-Do list”, or keep you on track with your diet during holiday events… I’ve got the perfect solution for you! HOLIDAY SMOOTHIES! Why? Because they are a wonderful way to enjoy all of your favourite holiday flavours without the added sugars and calories.

Below are three different recipes that will help you curb indulgent holiday cravings… without sacrificing on your favourite, festive flavours!

Peppermint Mocha

  • 1 1/2 oz organic baby spinach
  • 1 organic banana – peeled
  • 1 organic apple – chopped
  • 4 sprigs fresh mint – stemmed
  • 1 tbsp cacao nibs
  • 1 tbsp Navitas Organic Cacao Powder – on SALE this month for $5.55
  • 1 cup Silk vanilla almond milk

Maple Cranberry Tart

  • 2 organic apples – chopped
  • 2 oz Stahlbush Frozen Cranberries – on SALE this month for $4.44
  • 1 tbsp Canadian Heritage maple syrup
  • 3 tbsp walnuts
  • 1 tsp lucuma powder
  • 1 cup water

Orange Gingerbread

  • 2 handfuls organic baby kale
  • 1 organic orange – peeled
  • 1/2 inch organic ginger – peeled – on SALE for a limited time!
  • 1 tbsp currants – on SALE This month for $4.44/lb
  • 1 tsp molasses
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup ice

** For all recipes simply add the ingredients into a blender and blend!
